From extensive research it’s quite clear that experiential activities are the most effective methods for achieving sustained growth, retention, and application to the real world. Receiving information through a lecture/presentation system seems to accomplish very little in true development and retention.

Experiencing an event with small amounts of knowledge and information may result in a fun day, and will also have little value in the areas of growth and retention.

At Leadership 350° we combine: knowledge, theory, research and information with hands-on activities to provide you with the most powerful opportunity for sustained growth and development possible.

Why work with a team of horses? There are a variety of experiential activities that are available such as: team games, challenge/ropes courses, rock climbing, sport activities and many others. None of these are as effective as working with a team of one of the most intelligent animals on earth. Horses have the ability of learning quickly, remember events over a long period of time, and are able to solve problems and figure out how to get what they want. The interaction with horses allows one to get continual feedback as to what is working and what is not during an activity.

At Leadership 350° we do not have packaged programs. Once you register, one of our executive trainers will spend time with you to design a tailor-made program created to address your specific needs, and provide/deliver an experience that is guaranteed to deliver a quality program. Once your team’s program profile is created, we’ll match specific horse activities for your team to engage in that will lead to successful and productive learning outcomes.

Why Work with Horses to Enhance Your Leadership Skills ?

Horses provide us a great partnership that opens possibilities to immediate feedback in the areas of trust, relationships, and communication. Horses communicate almost exclusively in the non-verbal realm, so they provide us a unique opportunity to assess our leadership styles in ways that are clear and focused. They react immediately to an individual’s presence and attitude.

Interacting with these intelligent beings offers the ability for participants to asses a “whole body experience” that includes alignment, body posture, emotional state of being, and presence and then adding rational function.

There are many other experiential activities that are available, yet none match the power and instantaneous feedback that one receives from these amazing animals.

When a participant is in the presence of a team of horses, there is a multitude of outcomes that can be seen clearly immediately…Trust, Respect, Mindfulness, Understanding Others, Creating Healthy Boundaries, and several other experiences.

The beauty of working with horses to enhance our leadership skills becomes obvious the minute a participant begins to engage with these wonderful creatures. They truly are great teachers as we explore ways to expand our abilities to inspire, collaborate, motivate and connect with others in our life.

Please note…our programs provide participants opportunities to interact with these beautiful animals, they do NOT involve riding any of the horses.

Some general areas you may consider enhancing as you engage with Leadership 350° programs

The basic approach we use that has proven successful, is applying the RE-INVENT Model. We usually  begin by addressing the wellness of the individuals in your organization, move to the effectiveness of the teams/departments, and then focus on the health of the organization as a whole. In its simplest form, the RE-INVENT Model takes a look at 1. “beingness” – who you are being as individuals and as an organization and 2. “doingness” – the behaviors and interactions within, and outside of your organization.

Together we look at who and what are: working well, being effective and bringing value. Those aspects are enhanced. We look at what needs to be adjusted and shifted, and we create a plan to discard what is not creating usefulness. The programs we offer are experiential ones. After extensive research, we have found that experiential programs that are delivered well in a prescriptive manner are usually more effective than other delivery systems.
